Our Story
Hi, I’m Laura the founder of Happy Hooves Equine Ltd.
Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a passionate horsewoman, I still love spending time in the saddle and competing whenever I can. But it’s not just about riding it’s about the deep, therapeutic connection horses can offer.
Before starting Happy Hooves, I spent several years as cabin crew with British Airways, where I built a strong foundation in customer service and care. I then spent over a decade working in the senior living sector, where I saw first-hand the incredible difference that meaningful interaction and compassionate care can make to someone’s well-being.
Now, I’ve combined my lifelong love of horses with my experience in both care and service to create Happy Hooves Equine a service that brings joy, comfort, and connection to people of all ages through the magic of horses.
What we do
Happy Hooves offers magical, meaningful moments through our gentle therapy horses. We specialise in therapeutic visits to care homes, schools, nurseries, and special educational needs (SEN) settings, bringing calm, joy, and connection to people of all ages and abilities.
Whether it’s a quiet cuddle with a resident, an educational interaction for a class, or simply a chance to smile, our horses are trained to provide comfort, confidence, and companionship.
We also bring the fun to life’s special moments with unforgettable children’s parties—where little ones can meet, groom, and walk our ponies in a safe, friendly environment that sparks imagination and wonder.
At Happy Hooves, we’re passionate about making a difference. With kindness, care, and a whole lot of heart, we bring our ponies to you—creating experiences that leave a lasting impression, one happy hoof at a time.
Areas we cover
We are based just outside of Chippenham in Wiltshire, just off the M4 J17.
Due to the welfare of our horses and keeping travel times down for them, we cover Wiltshire and the surrounding counties. (Somerset, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire)
However sometimes it may be possible for us to travel out of area so please do get in touch if you would like a visit but a bit further away.
